When Christ returns, there will be two types of Christians: 1) ones that are confident, and 2) ones that are ashamed. Christians who abide in His commandments and do them will be confident at His coming, and those who do the opposite will be ashamed.
“And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming” (1 Jn. 2:28)
“Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him” (1 Jn. 3:24).
When Christ returns and Christians appear before His judgment seat there will be two types of Christians: 1) ones that have boldness, and 2) ones that have fear. Christians who deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Christ will have boldness, Christians who do the opposite will be in fear – in great terror.
“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” (1 Jn. 4:17,18)
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men” (2 Cor. 5:10,11).
When Christ returns, there will be two types of Christians: 1) ones who will appear with Him in glory, and 2) ones who will not appear with Him in glory, but will be enemies of God. Ones who set their minds on the coming Kingdom of heaven, and abide by the rules governing entrance to this coming Kingdom will appear with Christ in glory. Ones who do the opposite and set their minds on the earth, and abide by the rules governing this present Kingdom ruled by Satan and his angels, will not appear in glory with Christ, but will have made themselves into enemies of God.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Colossians 3:1-4)
“Adulterers and[a] adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? “(James 4:4-5)
When Christ returns, there will be two types of Christians: 1) ones who will be granted entrance into the kingdom of heaven, and 20 ones who will be denied entrance. Christians who do the will of God by obeying His commandments will be granted entrance into the Kingdom of God, and Christians who practice lawlessness will be denied entrance.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” (Matthew 7:21-23)
When Christ returns there will be two types of Christians: 1) ones who have clothed themselves with righteous acts by obeying God’s commandments, who will sit with Christ as His bride, and 2) ones who will find themselves naked by disobeying God’s commands, who will not sit with Christ as His Bride.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’ “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’” (Revelation 3:13-22)
Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.(Revelation 19: 7 – 8)
Time just as Scripture moves toward one main point: when “that all things which are written may be fulfilled. (Luke 21:22) toward the “restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:21) When “salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come” (Rev. 12:10)
Will you be the faithful and wise servant who Christ will make rulers over all His goods or will you be that evil servant who Christ will cut in two, have your portion with the hypocrites, and be weeping and gnashing your teeth?
Will you be one of the wise virgins who were ready and went in with Christ to the wedding or will you be one of the foolish (GK, moros, Eng; moron) virgins with the door shut in your face and Christ saying , “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.”?
Will you be ashamed or confident?
